Find a Target with three sample points using Trilateration. Just record the distance from the target of interest in one location to save a single sample point. Then move to another location to record another distance from the target of interest. Collect two samples points and select Calculate to estimate two locations of the target. Collect three samples points (or more) to estimate one location of the target.
Useful companion application to existing location based apps that display distance a person is away from you. Location based apps such a Encountr, Maleforce, Scruff, MiuMeet, BoyAhoy and Grindr.
TIPS:
Open Trilaterate It along with your other favorite location based application. Then when moving about to record your three or more sample points, switch between the two apps by holding down the home key.
When moving to a new location, it's best to move approximately 25% the distance from the previous target. For example if the target is 4 miles away, move about 1 mile to record your next data point. If the target is then 1000 feet away, move about 250 feet to record your next data point.
